Kirasawa's first Universal Law:
All the building blocks of the universe are held together, in a certain formation, by (negative) Zeger particles.
Tests show that mental anguish, combined with a clear picture of an object, will (due to their negative polarity) force Zeger particles to reshape the physical sought object (the remote, a computer case screw, some spare fuses, etc) into a shape precisely unlike the object on which focus is placed.

First Corollary of Kirasawa's first Universal Law:
Due to residual psychic impressions made on the given set of Zeger particles, if the positive pressure on that given set (the keys you were looking for three weeks ago) has degraded, the next restructuring will assume that object's architecture.

Second Corollary to Kirasawa's first Universal Law: You can't make your lost remote appear by looking for your keys.
